The Origins of the World, Orsay Museum

04 Jan 2021 Lp Art Exibitions

LP Art carried out the unboxing and installation at the Orsay Museum of the exhibition "The Origins of the World. The Invention of Nature in the Nineteenth Century ", a major exhibition which, regardless of its effective date of opening to the public, will end on May 2nd, 2020 before its transfer to Montreal.
In partnership with the National Museum of Natural History, it traces the unprecedented development of the natural sciences thanks to the great exploratory trips that marked the 19th century.
Note in the nave, the spectacular presence of Parkie, this Asian elephant captured in Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) to be taken to a Dutch zoo, before being requisitioned by revolutionary France in 1797, who on this occasion leaves thid this time the National Natural History Museum for the Orsay Museum.
A remarkable film shows the LP Art teams at work during the Parkie installation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiKaEu_3Rr8
