The King's Animals, Palace of Versailles
After the "Hyacinthe Rigaud" exhibition, the Palace of Versailles presents from October 12, 2021 to February 13, 2022 "The Animals of the King". exhibition composed of works that bring to life the impressive world of animals that lived at the Palace of Versailles under the Ancien Régime.
The works come from around fifty French and foreign collections (Louvre Museum, Natural History Museum, Hunting and Nature Museum, Uffizi Museum in Florence, National Museum of Ceramics, Natural History Museum in the University of Pavia ...).
An LP Art team, extended for the occasion, devoted itself to unpacking and hanging around two hundred and fifty works: paintings, sculptures, stuffed animals, tapestries, sleds, vellum, porcelain or goldsmith's work.
