Inaugural exhibitions of the Pompidou Center in Shanghai
Inaugurated on November 5th, 2019 in the presence of President Emmanuel Macron, the “Center Pompidou × West Bund Museum Project” is the third establishment of the French cultural institution outside the country after those of Malaga and Brussels and represents a project of major artistic and cultural exchange between France and China.
Located in the heart of the new Xuhui Waterfront district, the ambition of which is to be the largest “cultural corridor” in Asia in the future, the museum will host an impressive multidisciplinary program during the five years of the partnership signed with the Center Pompidou.
Two galleries are reserved for a semi-permanent route entitled "The Shape of Time", composed by works from French, foreign and Chinese artists, dating from 1905 to present day. The third gallery hosts a third *temporary exhibition "Observations", consisting mainly of videos.
A great reference for LP Art, which took charge of the transport of this important exhibition: nearly one hundred and thirty works loaned by the Center Pompidou to wrap and put in crates, as well as numerous cargo shipments to organize to Shanghai.
