Danish painting, Petit Palais
For the first time in France in nearly thirty five years, the Petit Palais museum is presenting from September 22nd, 2020 an exhibition devoted to Danish painting from 1801 to 1864.
Over two hundred works by leading artists of this period such as Christoffer Eckersberg, Christen Købke, Martinus Rørbye or Constantin Hansen which illustrate 19th century Denmark. The result of recent research by an international team, the exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Staten s Museum for Kunst (SMK) in Copenhagen and the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
During the month of August and early September, before unpacking and installation at the Petit Palais in Paris, LP Art had crated and transported the many works from Stockholm, but also the works on loan from the Louvre museum as well as a fragile plaster from the Museum of Molds in Montpellier.
